IT ENGINEER

The Role

Based in Cambridge UK you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of IT infrastructure, servers and desktop systems both for internal office administration and in supporting the technical development, sales, project and product support teams.

  • Day to day IT admin, maintenance and support
  • Managing user accounts, access rights and security/anti-virus
  • Backup and recovery management
  • New device setup, configuration and installation
  • Assist engineering, sales and support teams with system setup and configuration
  • Manage IP telephony and video conferencing capabilities
  • Change management during integration with Rohde and Schwarz IT infrastructure

Your education, experience and interests

  • Windows and Linux, server and desktop
  • IP networking
  • Relevant education in IT and systems preferably to degree level
  • Virtualisation – VmWare experience would be an advantage
  • AWS/Cloud, JIRA/GIT, pfSense, Office, Exchange experience an advantage
  • Ability to work pragmatically within a rapidly growing team without sacrificing quality and whilst maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written, with a willingness to present solutions and internal IT training to the teams
  • A passion for technology and problem solving
  • Willingness to learn from and communicate with the rest of the team
  • Ability to be a team player or work alone as appropriate for the task at hand

WINDOWS C++ DEVELOPER (2 vacancies)

The Role

As a member of our C++ team you will be working on the development of our StreamMaster and Create product ranges.

This role offers a huge variety of technical challenges and requires a willingness to work on many diverse aspects of the software with a pragmatic approach to delivering high quality reliable code at all stages of the product life cycle in an Agile environment.

Your education, experience and interests

  • A degree in Computer Science or other relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • C++ and multi-threading
  • Sound knowledge of software engineering principles
  • Ability to work pragmatically within a dynamic and rapid code development culture without sacrificing quality and whilst maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written, with a willingness to present creative technical solutions to the team
  • A passion for technology and problem solving
  • Willingness to learn from and communicate with the rest of the team
  • Ability to be a team player or work alone as appropriate for the task at hand
  • Agile development environment and experience of JIRA/GIT, cross platform development for Windows and Linux and/or graphics experience would be an advantage
  • An interest in video/audio/media/graphics processing, high speed networking and/or high performance computing would also be an advantage

WINDOWS C# DEVELOPER

The Role

As a member of our Workflow Applications team you will be working on the development of our enterprise grade client/server automation software suite.

This role offers a huge variety of technical challenges and requires a willingness to work on many diverse aspects of the software with a pragmatic approach to delivering high quality reliable code at all stages of the product life cycle in an Agile environment.

Your education, experience and interests

  • A degree in Computer Science or a compatible engineering discipline
  • At least 3 years experience using .NET (including at least version 4.0), C#, WPF, WCF, MVVM and multi-threading in a Visual Studio environment
  • Sound knowledge of software engineering principles
  • Ability to work within a dynamic and rapid code development culture without sacrificing quality
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written, with a willingness to present creative technical solutions to the team
  • A passion for technology and problem solving
  • Willingness to learn from and communicate with the rest of the team
  • Ability to be a team player or work alone as appropriate for the task at hand
  • Some knowledge of SQL would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Agile development environment and experience of JIRA an advantage

JUNIOR TEST ENGINEER

The Role
Testing of broadcast video, graphics and automation applications in a Windows environment.

  • Creation of test plans for existing and new software and features
  • Writing and running manual test-cases
  • Investigating and reporting defects
  • Reporting on software quality
  • Liaising with in-house development and support teams


Your education, experience and interests:

  • 1+ years of experience in Software Testing Windows applications
  • A relevant degree
  • Excellent testing skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solver
  • Team player

Ideally have:

  • ISEB\ISTQB Foundation Certificate
  • An understanding and experience of the Agile development methodology
  • Experience scripting automated tests
  • Knowledge of audio/video encodings

Experience using the following applications:

  • Jira
  • Microsoft Office
  • Any Test-case Management application
