At IBC 2017, Pixel Power is working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to demonstrate live, linear playout from the cloud, covering every level of schedule sophistication and incorporating real-time DVE and 3D graphics. The demonstrations will cover simple channel playout where the schedule is fixed and there are no live events, through dynamic playout with live events right up to complex premium channels including reactive scheduling, for instance around sports events whose end time is not known.

Featured will be new releases of Factory, the automated content production system, Promote, which automatically creates and inserts marketing and promotional content based on the broadcaster’s objectives and future schedules and the Clarity Graphics system which is at the heart of all Pixel Power systems.

As well as building branding materials, data driven graphics systems, pioneered by Pixel Power, are creating new revenue opportunities through advertising. In live sports broadcasting, for example, an advertiser can react to an event on field in the very next commercial break. Adding highly relevant graphics to a commercial that can only have been known moments before going on-air creates a real win-win: the audience stays in the game and the broadcaster can strengthen the spot rate.
