PIXEL POWER DELIVERS EXPANDABLE CHARACTER GENERATOR
Graphics Leader Makes First Deliveries of Clarity 300 at IBC2005
Stand 7.138, IBC2005, Amsterdam, 9 September 2005:
Pixel Power is to make world-first deliveries of its high-performance,
expandable character generator Clarity 300 at IBC2005. The turnkey,
single-channel character generator with integrated still and clip
store and up to four channels of audio, previewed at NAB2005 in
Las Vegas, is to be available at its European showcase.
With its compact 3RU chassis and ultra-quiet fans, the new addition
to Pixel Power’s flagship Clarity family is ideal for both
static and mobile broadcast operations and creative departments.
Clarity 300 is expandable to include video-clip playback, dual 2D
live squeeze-back capability, realtime 3D and sophisticated full-frame
cell, text and logo animation effects. Audio capabilities include
de-embed, ducking, group mix and re-embedding, making Clarity 300
ideal for adding voiceovers and sound effects.
Its internal video-clip player delivers up to four hours’
uncompressed 4:2:2:4 recording and playback from internal storage.
Storage is expandable externally and clips can be used as full frame
page backgrounds or resized using the dual 2D DVEs. The video clip
option also includes a dedicated SDI preview output which can be
configured as an auxiliary output channel.
Available on three software profiles, Clarity 300 is easily tailored
to the requirements of various control rooms and editing and graphics
production. In addition, it uses a familiar Windows-based interface
with hybrid dedicated graphics hardware and open-platform PC technology.
“As with all products in Pixel Power’s Clarity family,
Clarity 300 is engineered for creativity and reliability,”
says Pixel Power’s UK MD James Gilbert. “It integrates
seamlessly with practically all third party systems and ensures
all programmes have the distinctive graphics that improve viewing
enjoyment.”
