Booth SU6820, NAB2007, Las Vegas, 16 April: Pixel Power is to bring real-time 3D animation without the need for specialist operators to NAB2007 with the US debut of CG-3D. CG-3D is the latest option for its Clarity range of SD/HD switchable graphics generators and offers true real-time 3D animation with parametric control of elements, lighting and moves.

Capable of both automated control and input, CG-3D is a field upgrade for existing Clarity HD/SD systems and requires no 3D experience on the part of the operator. Like the rest of Clarity’s functionality, it is capable of both automated control and automated input.

Complex models can be imported from specialist 3D systems (including Autodesk 3DS) and can be combined with built-in controls, parametric primitives, lighting control and keyframe structures.

2D text and graphics layers from Clarity can be texture-mapped onto 3D models, including live video feeds, animated text, cell animations, images and clocks.

Automated data input – for example from sports statistics systems – can be fed directly onto the surfaces of 3D objects or control the appearance of 3D objects.

“At NAB, Pixel Power is demonstrating how to achieve the perfect graphics, whether they be in 2D, 3D, SD or HD,” says Pixel Power MD James Gilbert. “Whatever the format, graphics should look sophisticated while workflows are simplified.”

Pixel Power is exhibiting its full product range at NAB2007 on booth SU6820.
