BURBANK, Calif.- Pixel Power, a leading provider of broadcast graphics systems, today announced that its Clarity 3D—the easiest to own, easiest to use real-time 3D broadcast graphics system—has been enhanced with full support for high definition (HD) video formats. Clarity 3D with HD support will be on display for the first time at NAB 2009, Las Vegas Convention Center, in Booth SU10012.

Clarity 3D enables broadcasters to develop sophisticated looks by mapping multiple live video sources onto 3D object surfaces. It offers true real-time 3D animation with parametric control of elements, lighting and moves. Capable of both automated control and input, Clarity 3D requires no 3D experience on the part of the operator. Clarity graphics systems easily convert pages between SD and HD formats, enhancing productivity when finishing programs in multiple formats.

Complex models can be imported from specialty 3D systems and combined with built-in controls, parametric primitives, lighting control and keyframe structures. 2D text and graphics layers from Clarity graphics systems can be texture-mapped onto 3D models, including live video feeds, animated text, cell animations, images and clocks. Automated data input including sports statistics or election results can be fed directly onto the surfaces of 3D objects or control the appearance of 3D objects.

Offered for the Clarity 3000 and Clarity 5000 systems, Clarity 3D with HD support is available immediately.
