PIXEL POWER CLARITY 5000
CHOSEN FOR NAB-HD STATION GRAPHICS
April 24, 2006, NAB, Las Vegas...
Pixel Power Ltd. (www.pixelpower.com), Cambridge, England, announced that its flagship HD/SD product, the Clarity5000 GX broadcast graphics system, will be a key component of the 2006 NAB-HD Station.
The project will deliver signals to HD displays around the Las Vegas Convention Center, make HD and SD transmission available via the building’s cable system, and reach more than 75,000 hotel rooms with an SD feed. Pixel Power will supply the Clarity5000 system, as well as the manpower to commission the system during set-up. The UK provider of character generators will also make support staff available during the event for assistance as needed.
The Clarity5000 GX is Pixel Power’s entirely new hardware architecture to meet the next generation of graphics requirements encompassing standard and high definition formats. Building upon the knowledge of the existing Clarity range, Clarity5000 takes HD graphics to the next level, with graphics capabilities beyond that of current state of the art SD graphics systems. Clarity5000 runs the latest Clarity Version 7 software, which includes clip capability, perspective DVE, timeline animation and real-time 3D options.
James Gilbert, CEO of Pixel Power Inc., commented, “Pixel Power’s latest Clarity 5000 system offers outstanding performance for the new wave of HD investment, and the HDTV station exhibit is an ideal opportunity to showcase the technology to the NAB attendees in a more realistic operational situation than a show booth. We’re pleased to share our solution with current and future television operators, and serve as a resource to those seeking information about advances in character generator technology.”
