PIXEL POWER CUTS COST OF HD GRAPHICS
Stand 7.138, IBC2006, Amsterdam, 8 September 2006: Pixel
Power is expanding its popular Clarity family of SD/HD graphics
generators with the launch of two new models at IBC2006. The Clarity
1000 is an entry level model, fully upgradeable to the top of the
range Clarity 3000, while the Clarity 50 is a compact SD device
aimed at the professional AV market as well as for smaller broadcast
applications.
| The Clarity 1000 is a switchable SD and HD character generator,
with a feature set optimised for the smaller broadcaster, post
production and the top end events market.
It is an easy to use
graphics generator, with three selectable levels of performance: TG
for post production and automated output; CG with the addition of
still store and animation capabilities; and GX with complete
graphics creation functionality. |
 |
The Clarity 1000 supports all HD formats and is capable of
control by automation systems. It can also communicate with external
data sources to populate templates in applications from news tickers
to sports graphics. It shares a user interface with all Clarity
models for ease of introduction, can be upgraded to any level of
performance, and represents excellent value as an entry level device
with uncompromised HD quality.
For smaller broadcast facilities, post production and AV
installations in churches, stadiums and on events systems, the
Clarity 50 is an easy to use SD graphics device at very low cost
without compromising on quality.

Contained in a 1U chassis for use in limited spaces, it provides
full connectivity, including automation control and data population
for applications like news and digital signage. The Clarity 50 has
the feature set of the traditional character generator, with the
option to add functionality like text animation. Because it shares a
common user interface with other Clarity models in can be used in
broadcast environments where budgets are tight.
“The addition of high quality graphics is a simple and sure way
to achieve excellent production values,” says Pixel Power MD James
Gilbert. “That is true however you use creative video, from
conferences and places of worship to broadcast drama and
entertainment. These new Clarity models make high quality graphics
affordable and accessible to every user, with the Clarity 1000
adding the power to support the migration to HD.”
See the Clarity 50 and the Clarity 1000, along with the other new
product launches and the entire Pixel Power range, at IBC2006 on
stand 7.138.
